To be successful in practice with the LAP-BAND^® System, you need patients to treat! However, it can sometimes be difficult to find patients who would benefit from the LAP-BAND^® System, even though there are millions of them all over the country. As part of Allergan's commitment to your successful integration of the LAP-BAND^® System into your practice, Allergan offers assistance with appropriate patient recruitment.

We help you reach qualified patients. Allergan's referral system encourages collaboration by surgeons and other specialty physicians, including, Primary care physicians, obstetricians, gynecologists, endocrinologists, and orthopedic surgeons, who see and treat obese patients. We are further strengthening this network by establishing an educational system for specialists to help them recognize obese patients and recommend the appropriate treatment course which may include recommending them to your care.

Allergan also helps patients find you. For example, we provide the Surgeon Locator tool and the seminar/support group calendar to patients on www.lapband.com. These resources help potential patients find LAP-BAND^® System-certified surgeons and patient seminars in their area.
